Decisions Made
I mentioned in an earlier post that I was having a hard time deciding how many classes to take in this Fall semester. Well, I finally made a decision! I changed my mind from taking four classes, then two classes, and finally decided to only take one class. I almost feel bad saying that I went all the way down to one class, but I realized that I needed a bit of a break, or I was going to have a nervous breakdown. 🙂
It is always hard to admit to your own limitations. I hate acknowledging that I can’t do everything that I want to do (or think I should do), but if there is one thing that I have learned since becoming a mother, it would be that I CAN’T do it all. I believe that learning to let go of some things so that we can focus on the most important things is one of the most important things to learn in this life. We each have a limited amount of energy and time, so we need to make sure the important things are getting done and be able to put the rest to the side when needed.
I am glad that I have decided to take this ‘mini’ break for myself, and I look forward to being able to focus on completing other projects that have been piling up. I have a baby blanket to finish, websites to update, a new system to learn, and laundry to finish. 😉 Here’s to an enjoyable rest of 2014!
