Choices, Choices, Choices…
Life is FULL of choices and right now I am struggling with the choice of how many classes to take and when! I had planned to take four classes in the Fall Semester, but realizing how stressed out and busy I will be has made me second guess that plan. Now I am considering doing just two classes in the fall, but it is so hard to decide because I know that it will just take me longer to complete my degree if I slow down my classes. I don’t want my two youngest boys (6 and 9) to remember their childhood as missing their mother because she was ALWAYS…

Lessons Learned: Lesson 2- New Testament Class
Unit 1 Choice 1: Matthew 5:1-12. The Beatitudes 1. Read the footnote for Matthew 5:3 and the institute student manual Points to Ponder section: “The Sermon on the Mount Is Our Constitution for Perfection” (p. 61). Write a definition for the word blessed or blessedness. Blessed: happy, glad, helped, comforted, favored by the Lord. People who are ‘blessed’ are making choices that better their own lives and those people’s lives that they come in contact with. 2. Read Matthew 5:1-12. Identify or mark all of the “blessed” attributes in these verses. Also, read the definitions President Harold B. Lee (1899-1973) gave for each of these attributes found in the institute…

Lessons Learned:Lesson 1- New Testament Class
LUKE 1:5-80. THE BIRTH OF JOHN THE BAPTIST Read Luke 1:14 and write what Zacharias was told about the birth of his son, John the Baptist. That Zacharias would have joy and gladness and that many people would rejoice when his son John the Baptist was born. Study Luke 1: 5-25, 39-45, 56-80, and the Bible Dictionary entry: “John the Baptist” (pp. 714-15). Write a paragraph summarizing the reasons many people would rejoice over John the Baptist’s birth and mission. There were many reasons why many people rejoice over John the Baptist’s birth and mission. The first reason is because his parents were old and have given up any hope…

New Semester
The Spring Semester is finally over and the Summer Semester is just beginning! I am sure that most people think that I am crazy to not take a break during the summer, but I want to not be taking classes for the next ten years, so I decided to just take one of my required religion classes during the summer semester. I am taking online courses through Brigham Young University-Idaho, so there are a number of religion course that you have to complete to earn a degree. This semester I am taking a course on the New Testament. It will focus on the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John).…

The Beginning
I decided to start this blog to record my ‘adventures’ while I am going to college to earn a degree in Web Design and Development while being a mom of five crazy kids. I have been going to school for almost two years, but I have A LOT more to go. 🙁 So, if you are taking the time to read this, I hope that you enjoy reading about my crazy life and all the new things I am learning as I go, both in school and out.
