    Project 9: Portfolio

Portfolio (Scribd.com) Tenille's Portfolio by Tenille   Project Corrections / Time spent: I spent 30 minutes improving my Montage project.  The improvements I made were: adjusting the opacity of the woman on the right side of the picture.  I had received comments that the grass in the background made the woman look like she had a beard, so I decided to work on making changes to the opacity of that photo, focusing on her face, to fix this problem. I spent over an hour and a half working on the logos.  I found that the first cooking logo had strange shapes that showed up when it was used on a…

    Project 8: Brochure

Video of Printed Brochure: Description: A project to create a brochure for a company of our choosing, with another original logo created by me. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign while creating this project.  I started by planning out my new logo, and creating it in Illustrator.  After I had the logo designed I made some general layout sketches for my brochure and worked on creating the body copy for the brochure.  I took my sketches and recreated them using InDesign on the computer.  I used filler text to help me plan the alignment and spacing throughout the brochure.  After the text and main layout was…

    Project 5: Logos

Description: A project where we needed to design three different logos for the same company. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I started this project by sketching out some ideas on paper.  After choosing three of my favorite ideas, I started using Adobe Illustrator to create them on the computer.  I made each logo in its own file and then placed the completed version into the final artboard that displayed all three logos and the company’s name.  When I had completed my initial draft I got critiques from my instructor as well as some family members to find out what I could improve.  I made a few more changes to the logos,…

    Project 4: Montage

Description: An inspirational montage created in Photoshop, using two separate images, and typography. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing): I started this project by thinking about what message I wanted to share.  After some careful thought, I decided to use one of my favorite scriptures that emphasizes trusting God and knowing that He is watching over you.  I then started looking through my pictures and came up with the idea of having a landscape with a stormy sky and bright sun, with a peaceful, calm looking woman in the sun’s rays. Next, I put the pictures I had chosen into Photoshop so that I could begin working with…

    Project 3 Activity: Photography

Process: This project was much more difficult than I expected it to be. I had a difficult time finding good light inside and outside. It was a mostly cloudy day both yesterday and today, so I drove around a lot trying to find good places to take pictures. I am pleased with how my outside photographs turning out, but not really with the inside ones. The first picture was taken outside trying to get as much light as well as good composition as was possible. The second one is my adorable nephew. I tried to utilize the light from outside, as well as from an indoor lamp. The third…

    Long Days

My days are very long lately. I am either working on homework, working at work, or doing some laundry, etc. I am taking 12 credit hours this semester, and most days I feel like it is going to kill me. However, I really am enjoying all that I am learning. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. My family is helpful and understanding, and even my children are trying to be more helpful. I feel guilty that I am not able to spend very much time with them right now, but I hope that the time I do spend is good quality time. I look forward to…
