Project 5: Logos

TenilleDiel-P5-Logos

Description:

A project where we needed to design three different logos for the same company.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills):

I started this project by sketching out some ideas on paper.  After choosing three of my favorite ideas, I started using Adobe Illustrator to create them on the computer.  I made each logo in its own file and then placed the completed version into the final artboard that displayed all three logos and the company’s name.  When I had completed my initial draft I got critiques from my instructor as well as some family members to find out what I could improve.  I made a few more changes to the logos, based on their advice, and then posted my designs on my Facebook feed to get votes on which one was their favorite.  I received a lot more votes than I was expecting and got a very clear idea of which logo people preferred.  I made a few more changes based on additional feedback from those that voted and I now have my completed draft of all three logos to present on this blog.

Message:

  • Brick / Teal – Complementary

Three sets of Title / Body Font Names & Categories:

  • AR Christy – Decorative

Votes on favorite logo:

Top Logo = 24; Middle Logo = 1; Bottom Logo = 5;

    Great job on your logos Tenille! Each one is very unique and certainly would offer your client a fun variety. You did a great job designing the chef hat and rolling pin! I had a difficult time drawing in illustrator, but yours look great! I think the color schemes you picked for each logo is very fitting and certainly adds to their appeal and focus. Well Done! Check out my logos from this week and see my silly drawings of transportation…they were hard to do! https://krystalsnyder.wordpress.com/
