Birthdays!!
It is a crazy birth
day month for our family! We have three to celebrate this month. I’m sure there are families with way more birthdays to worry about than that, but to me, that is a lot. I have survived two of them already, and have just one more to go. My son’s. He will be 7 years old! He is my baby, and it is quite strange to see him growing up so fast. I want to make his birthday a fun and memorable day, but there is so much to do every day that I sometimes feel like I am barely keeping my head above water. In addition to the day to day grind, I have homework, volleyball officiating, a baby shower to plan and prepare, and a Halloween costume to complete. Whew!! To add to all of that, my husband is having a hard time finding employment so we have to do all of this with very limited funds. Talk about overwhelming! However, I still find that birthdays bring such joy to my life. They are a wonderful time to show your love and to take time to really appreciate the person whose birthday you are celebrating. One way or another we always figure something out, and so instead of stressing about it all, I am choosing to just enjoy it all. Life would be boring without birthdays and craziness, so bring on the birthdays!!
